how unappealing this turned out to be, except for a slight handful.
c'est la vie. i really liked the way it turned out, especially with all the paths and patterns.

as one of the 10 largest comprehensive art museums in the country, according to annual rankings compiled by the 193-member Association of Art Museum Directors.
With more than 540,000 square feet of space, the VMFA moves into the top 10 nationally. It's still a ways off from No. 1 -- New York's Metropolitan Museum of Art, at 2.2 million square feet, is twice as large as any other museum on the list -- but it only trails the No. 9 Brooklyn Museum by about 35,000 square feet.
The new galleries will push it up to eighth in permanent exhibition space, and a sprawling sculpture garden, three times the old size, that wraps around and behind the museum will become the fourth-largest outdoor exhibition space in the country.
'Tis the fate of abstract photography in a non abstract challenge. When I enter something of this nature, my success is measured in the comments and in appealing strongly to a narrow audience. I gave it an 8.
I thought it was fantastic. I gave it an 8. I wonder how much of the negativity stems from the fact that "art", in this case, is not a subject you photographed but, rather, a description of the result. I'm sure that didn't fly well. But a fine, fine image.
ETA:
Come to think of it, is that an Art Museum? LOL...
