It's funny, I'd assumed this was gonna be Orvaratli's...

Not much has changed in 4 years, eh? Nice shot, great finish!

Ah, the golden age of Cadillacs and tailfins :-) 1960 model here, albeit somewhat modified :-)

Love the low-rider aspect of it, the awesome pipes.

Where'd you find this?

"Abstract Impressionism" is an interesting thought. From my point of view, this borrows more from abstract expressionism than it does from any impressionist techniques, in the sense that impressionism is essentially a way of capturing the recognizable essence of the familiar, whereas expressionism is more about revealing the hidden essence of the artist.

But of course, in THIS "challenge" we're dealing with "photographic impressionism", and who the heck knows what that means? Or even cares? I share your fascination with squiggles of light, myself :-)

I actually KNOW Zaca Station Road! I wonder how many in DPC can say that? The image is an interesting experiment. I'd never have thought of LB-stacking, myself :-)

I see where you're going with this, but it seems curiously flat and washed-out. Where I'd expect a feeling of depth, solidity, and age, I take away, instead, a sort of gauzy insubstantiality that seems at odds with the gravitas of the place.

I've had a couple good finishes with these animals as well: 10th and 11th. Sadly, mine aren't around anymore; they've moved off-cape. People seem to like these whimsical beasts.

I like your shot the best of these 3 :-) How about showing people the original version, so they can see why you cropped to one horn?

It's good to see you moving away from the featureless backgrounds, which I always thought were limiting your shots. This one is exceptionally nice. Apparently there are some voters who don't recognize the evolution and think this is the same ol' same ol', as evidenced by the 18 low votes, but in the end your distribution is heavily skewed towards the positive. Well done!
