Three to Oneby MelethiaComment: I'll go out on a limb and say this one is Melethia's. It's certainly "her" pier, I believe... And she DOES like her backlighting... |

Wabi Sabiby mrbig65Comment: This image was seriously underrated. It was one of my highest picks. The bird absolutely elevates it to the totally wabi level of sabi (or vice versa) :-) |

If the Wall Could Talkby posthumousComment: It talks to me, Don. It was one of my top picks for the challenge, working around the peripheries of generic emptiness and opening some windows to the core of loneliness. |

Spring Migrationby giantmikeComment: It's a lovely scene, lovingly rendered. For me, the geese are a little out-of-scale, I can't quite put my finger on it... Maybe a little too crisp? |

Where We First Kissed...by QuickClickMickComment: This is a nice, haunting little image. Something about the container ships speaks of vastness and life passing. So I quite like it. However, for what it's worth, in my eye the bit of sky upper left is causing serious damage to the gestalt of the image. I hold up my hand to crop the left side and suddenly the mass of the tree trunk takes on a grim sobriety that multiplies the impact the receding space. It's a very nice B&W conversion, BTW, understated and luminous. |

birdsby skewsmeComment: This is an absolutely stunning image. I didn't vote any of this challenge because life happened and then it was too late to vote them all, so I voted none, but this would have been my top scorer for sure. I'd love to see a thread showing how you created this from the original exposure, because it's a total testament to the acuity of your visualization :-) |
