Best in show. Commenting now, bumped to 10 a few minutes ago. When I had the "Eureka!" moment of realizing this showed a sly, Rube Goldbergesque watering system, That sealed the deal. Totally engaging :-)

The challenge was to "Break a photography rule and make it work." This is an example of HOW to do that. As many have correctly pointed out, many aspects of the composition are strong and positive. Yes! That's correct! That's how to meet the challenge!
