You've got the red part nailed here, that's for sure. But I find it uncomfortable that the bokeh BG is demanding all my attention and the blossoms feel like an afterthought. The image isn't giving me much reason to stop and savor it, so I find myself anxious to move on. I gave it a 5.

Conceptually this image was a good idea, but from my POV circumstances let you down; the light itself is so diffused and watery that the image lacks oomph in my eyes. I do love a shingled beach, though :-) I give this a 5

I'm pretty sure I smell Jeb or Vivi on this one, considering the MGB in the background. I really WANT to like this image, but the minimal editing has tripped it up. The whole thing feels washed-out and a little clumsy :-( Reds are especially hard to render in JPG, so that's part of the problem. I gave this a 4.

There's a lot to like in this image, especially conceptually, but in the end it's not really working to its (imagined) potential; I want more from it. This feels like a hurried bit of work in a situation where a little more attention to the compositional equations would have paid huge dividends. It certainly answers the "red" theme, though :-) 6 from me.

Very soothing, very pleasing, nice use of DOF, nice detail with the droplets, luminous colors; all these are plusses for me. On the other hand, the image doesn't really engage me, and more and more that's what I'm looking for. Still, it's a lovely, luminous image and I give you a 7.

It's an image of a feather. It's red. That's as far as it goes for me. Attention has been paid to shallow DOF, but other than that it's just kind of *there*, and it doesn't engage me at all. For this reason, I give it a 4.

Well, it's RED :-) It's skillfully done, technically. It doesn't in any way touch me emotionally. Also I'm bothered by how the second-from-right vase touches its neighbor, I so want to see a clean gap there. A 6 from me.

I have absolutely no idea what's going on here. In the best of all possible scenarios, that's a taxidermied boar's head and all's well with the world, except possibly for your fevered imagination. That's what I want to believe. But what's with the welder's glove? Do I even want to know? I gave this a 7 for pure stun-value, and I'm commenting only now.

There's a lot to like in this image. A sort of massive compactness, for one thing, and nicely rendered colors, and of course it meets the challenge head-on. I'm not at all a fan of how you've swirled the foliage in such a heavy-handed way; It's a gritty, gritty image, and it wouldn't have hurt to let the foliage be part of that detail. I gave you a 7, commenting only now.
