This is really nicely done, crisp and pure with great bokeh. Unfortunately, for this challenge the subject is perilously close to "centered". I realize it's off-center vertically, but it's smack-dab centered horizontally and the overall effect is quite symmetric.

Very peculiar image. I didn't react especially well to it at first, but on rexamination I like it more. Nicely done. I wonder if a trace of gradient to darken the top a tad would have helped here? Bumping.

There's a sense here that this is a cropped section out of a larger, more dynamic image. It is just too "tight" to work very well, there are no real compositional dynamics at work here. A little more on the left (maybe quite a bit more) and some more on the top and it would be significantly stronger. The colors and the sense of sompression are both powerful.

The floor in that house is a good 18 inches above the bottom of the clapboards, and the window's actually sort of low. It's a weird house. Anyway the kid's as tall as I am.
