Pathetic isn't the word. Not really funny to me. I think the only thing you have going for you in this shot is the focus and the framing/cropping. Lighting is pretty bad, it gets a bit dark to the left side, not really evened out at all. good job of leveling your strong horizontal line with the frame of the photo. Good luck in the challenge.

The background is burning my eyes. lol. Lighting is a big harsh here. SOme blown out white spots on their ears, and the background is overwhelming. The color is nice though, and focus and clarity are good. The angle and framing/cropping are ok, cause I like symetry, and you definately have that. Good luck in the challenge.

Oh, the shadow around his head on the pillow is really not attractive to the photo. Looks like it might have been a hard place to get good lighting on, but the shadow is just a bit harsh. I like how he dozed off by the computer. I've been there a few times in my life. The color in the shot is good. Focus is maybe a little soft, however, not enough to be damaging. Nice find. Good luck in the challenge.

Black fur is so hard to capture nicely. It all seems to blend in together, and you don't know where feet stop and ears begin. It is a strange sight though, the dog and cat cuddled up with the tiny puppy. I wish the object that the cat is resting on wasn't black.. Focus and clarity are good, love the little wrinkles on the puppy. Good luck in the challenge.

Photos of cows always make me laugh, cause I am reminded of a little joke I got in an email when I first got internet. Anyway, I think the shot is very nice. The angle and framing are good. I like how you have the entire shadow of the cow in the shot. The lighting seems a bit strange around his eyes. maybe kind of too bright? oh well, he's still a cutie. good luck in the challenge.

Focus on the keys and kitties paw is very nice. I do not mind at all that the kitty is not in focus, that way, it draws attention to the kitty and the keys. I like the angle and framing/cropping as well. lighting is good, maybe a TAD harsh on the left side of the kitties face, but nothing serious. Made me smile. Good luck in the challenge.

Great DOF. Focus and clarity are very nice. The lighting is a bit harsh on the right of the photo, on her shirt. I have a 2 year old, so this made me smile. He HATES getting anything on his hands, face, or clothes, so I don't have any of these kinds of pics. She is a cutie. Good luck in the challenge.

This really did make me laugh. It's perfect. It looks just like the plant is reaching out to get a drink. I love the background. Perfect for the shot. Nothing distracting. Lighting is good. No distracting shadows, no hot spots. You did an excelent job keeping reflection and glare off the glass. I only wish the plant didn't look spray painted. minor detail though. Great focus and clarity. Very nice. Good luck in the challenge.

At first I didn't think this was that funny, but when I looked at it further, it made me laugh. Silly looking guys. I like the background as well, and the angle and framing/cropping is good. While I realize that the red is part of his shell, I do think it's a bit distracting. With the tight crop, I think it would be ok if you cropped that out too. I don't think it would damage the photo in any way. I like the tight crop, I think that it enhances the "macro effect". your focus and clarity are great, and the lighting is good. A little more light wouldn't have hurt, but I think it's ok the way it is. What a cutie!
