17 years oldby marboComment: I had intrepreted the challenge to show a physical number, not something that we had to count. With that in mind, I definately see a 0 here. :) While the focus and clarity are good, I think that the lighting was a bit harsh for you. There are a couple bright spots that almost wash out the subject in some places. mainly to the bottom right. the angle and framing/cropping are good. I think that I like how you have filled the entire photo with the subject. Good luck in the challenge. |

Flying Elevenby nathaliedooComment: looks like a sideways sky shot. definately an 11 though. it seems a bit grainy also. otherwise, the colors are nice, nice bright colors. good luck in the challenge. |

Pansyby DennisFComment: Very nice. I love the color. The 3 doesn't seem to be the part that is mostly in focus though. to me, it seems that the left side of the flower is in better focus than the right. I think I'd like to see this the other way around. I like the placement of the flower within the photo. nice angle and framing/cropping. The lighting is almost too harsh around the edges on the far right and bottom. an excelent naturally occuring number. very nice find. good luck in the challenge. |

Lucky Numberby dacrazyrnComment: nice shot. I lke the sepia tones. I wonder if this would improve from some added contrast. the snow looks a bit grey. however, adding contrast may make the sky way too white, so I'd have to see it, maybe you made the right decision. definately a natural number. the focus and clarity are good, as is the angle and framing/cropping. overall a nice shot. good luck in the challenge. |

#1 Keyby WILDBLUEComment: I'm not really sure weather or not to consider this a naturally occuring number. The shot it's self is quite set up, and the key isn't natural, however, it's not naturally suposed to be a number, but it does look like one. I guess I'm going to just comment on the photo its self. The white background is so bright that it's almost consuming some of the keys. it's most visible in the small tip in the middle to the bottom. The background bleeds into the subject a bit. Not sure how to fix it, other than a less harsh lighting or slightly darker background. Focus and clarity are excelent. Very nice focus. Angle and framing/cropping are ok, the shadow distracts a bit. Overall, a decent photo. Good luck in the challenge. |

Rings? who needs them?by rll07Comment: At first, I was thinking "how can you take a pic of a mesh of branches and expect us to pick out a number" Then looking a bit, trying to find an obvious one, that 15 jumped right out at me. absolutely amazing! I wonder how this would look if you cropped it to the bottom of the horizontal branch that the 15 is sitting on. It might help to draw our eyes right to the 15 rather than trying to search for it. Not like it's not obvious, lol, I think I'm having a dumb moment. focus and clarity are good, as is lighting conditions. Great find!! Good luck in the challenge. |

7by muckpondComment: Focus seems just a bit soft for my taste. Having such a tiny area of subject to focus on though could be difficult. The angle and framing/cropping are good. You left enough space around the subject without crowding it. Definately a natural number. lighting conditions also appear to have been cooperating with you that day. good luck in the challenge. |

Roman Numeral 6 (VI)by BigSmilesComment: Definately natural numbers. It's not too complex or busy. That's a good thing, but it's also not "jump out of my seat" exciting. It does meet the challenge, and it is technically well done. focus and clarity are good, and the angle and framing/cropping you chose for this is also good. it just seems to be missing something. Good luck in the challenge. |

K-9 by tcherringComment: This is the best photo!! The idea behind it is great, and the title is great, and it's definately a natural number. Made me laugh out loud. I think the only thing that could be improved is if he wasn't looking at you like he wanted to bite you. lol. It's natural for him to want to look at you though, even at the angle he's facing. Focus and clarity are great on the 9. I love the dark background with lit subject. A great shot. Good luck in the challenge. |

Sandstone Zeroby mcmurmaComment: perfect. great eye to find the 0. very naturally occuring. the focus and clarity are great. i love the texture in the sandstone. the angle and framing/cropping you have chosen here is good. normally, centering an object doesn't work for me, however, I think it works very nicely in this case. good luck in the challenge. |
