K-9 by tcherringComment: This is the best photo!! The idea behind it is great, and the title is great, and it's definately a natural number. Made me laugh out loud. I think the only thing that could be improved is if he wasn't looking at you like he wanted to bite you. lol. It's natural for him to want to look at you though, even at the angle he's facing. Focus and clarity are great on the 9. I love the dark background with lit subject. A great shot. Good luck in the challenge. |

Sandstone Zeroby mcmurmaComment: perfect. great eye to find the 0. very naturally occuring. the focus and clarity are great. i love the texture in the sandstone. the angle and framing/cropping you have chosen here is good. normally, centering an object doesn't work for me, however, I think it works very nicely in this case. good luck in the challenge. |

Decorative Numberby kandyjComment: wow. excelent focus and clarity. we can see in great detail each of the little fuzzies.the background is very nicely blurred and not distracting at all. definately a natural number. good angle and framing/cropping. the color and lighting conditions are also great. good luck in the challenge. |

A perfect three by mbardeenComment: a perfect 3 and a very nice shot. simple and to the point. (pun intended) lol. it's a little overexposed on the edge of the leaf, however, i think that's to your advantage because it helps to bring out the 3. the angle and framing/cropping is excelent. I love the neg. space to the left. the background is very nicely blurred and not distracting at all. an excelent shot. good luck in the challenge. |

A Natural Sevenby drydocComment: this photo looks like it's tilting a bit to the right. I think that it could be straightened a few degrees to the left without losing the 7. I almost didn't see it through the trees, but it is obvious and clear. it's too bad that you couldn't have gotten a shot of it without the trees in the way. focus and clarity seem ok, although hard to tell on the actual subject because of the trees in the way. a good shot overall. good luck in the challenge. |

Sunset at six by mariomelComment: very nice. i love the reflection of the shell, and the photo was a perfect choice for the background. focus and clarity are excelent. definately numbers and they are as natural as it gets. i wonder if you may have cut if just a small bit close to the bottom shell. i may have liked to see the entire shell. however, It's just a suggestion, you may have a good reason it's cut so close. sometimes you simply have to to cut out other things. either way, it's still an excelent shot. good luck in the challenge. |

Seven (Calla Lily Stems)by jodiecostonComment: i wonder what this would look like with the whole stem in focus. I think it's good that the background is a bit blurred, however, the stem loses sharpness near the bottom of the photo.the focus near the top is very nice. the natural number is quite clear and the angle and framing/cropping are good. good luck in the challenge. |

Prickly Three on the Edgeby FreebieComment: the background is a tad washed out in the upper and lower right hand corners. it's so bright that it's almost consuming the subject. the little red part in the center of the photo look like the most in focus. I think that if the main subject is the prickly 3 that at least the prickly 3 should be in focus. the color of the leaves is very nice. a great shade of green. the reflections/glare in the leaves is also a bit distracting. good luck in the challenge. |

Springing Fourth From the Riverby DougPazComment: definately a naturally occuring number. the background isn't overly exciting, however you have done a good job with it. the focus and clarity are good, angle and framing/cropping are also good. the only thing I find a tad distracting is that the main horizon line is angled. I realize that if you straightened that up, then the water line would be tilted. so I'm not really sure if there is much you can do about it, so it's just an observation rather than a suggestion. good luck in the challenge. |

Iron Eighteenby ChrisW123Comment: i wonder if a lot of people are going to say that this isn't natural. however, since the number its self isn't suposed to be there, I would say that the number is naturally occuring. theylook like they are suposed to be flowers, but do form a very nice 18. the background is very nicely blurred and a great color to help bring out the subject. focus and clarity are excelent. a great shot. good luck in the challenge. |
