Hello Gina ... I remember you from my last (first) time here ... that portrait Harley Fan. I remember loving that! I've just looked again, and I still love it.

I'm not quite so taken with Santa's Reindeer, but that's because I'm a grouch about Christmas. Sweet spots right on the money, however.

Finding Weegee The Famous

I saw a doco with one of the later NY street guys (Meyerowitz?) talking about Weegee the Famous. Had a collection of Weegee prints, as well, and some pictures of Weegee himself with a Speed Graphic the size of a truck battery. I'd like to have had that coffee break with you.

Nice cross. You can shoot some hoops on it as well. Sort of a dual-purpose device. The church being more relevant, I suppose.

This is one of the hardest things to do (or at least do well) with Lensbaby ... to put the sweet spot in the 'wrong' place and have it work so beautifully. The effect of deliberately focusing off-action like this is something I really enjoy; it somehow adds a whole new dimension of movement and meaning, when your eyes keep flicking down to that little cluster of wee pits in the concrete, and then back to the action, and then back to the concrete. Who'd have thought that such inconsequential details could drive the viewers attention so well?
