The Brandeburg Gateby kiwinessComment: Great lighting, the dark background makes the buildings spring out in a majestic way. Almost no blowouts, they are so easy to get with all these different lights around buildings.
I don't like how the left is cut off, but keystoning and other distortion problems aren't visible = good. Outside dpc I'd clone the red info sign out of the lower left window.

Flying Soloby bigpowComment: This pic would be really great if the horizon was level.
The bird is a great compositional feature and the colors and exposure is very nice. The shoreline draws the eye across the frame ending up at the bird, which keeps the eye inside. Nice job, if only the horizon was at the good and natural perceived angle. |

no one to play withby bdmxComment: Strong composition communcites the emptyness of the beach very well. Nice toning/exposure, lots of detail. Good photo. |

Desolatedby RemieComment: This is a very strong photo.
You've got the whales in the front -I guess- and the wind-energy-mills in the background. That is a nice presentation of environmentally friendly making of energy. The background preserves the foregroud in a way. The toning is a bit papyrus colored, a cold blue setting might do better.
Edit:
LOL Industrial water dump outlets, not whales........

Aloneby a1leyez0nm3Comment: Good photo.
The cool blue tones and black horizon profile make this pic communicate emptiness cq desolation. The sun trough the sky adds a point of interest. Even the mountains far away add to this in a split second. Somehow, despite the lack of a really strong point of interest, this my favourite for this challenge. |

Final Sunset by rcrawfordComment: Awesome contrast between the warm yellow light on the tree and the cool deepbue to underwatergreen of the sky. The dark profile of the horizon takes the eye across the photo.
The warmth of the presumably death three is also in stromg contrast with the almost desolate landscape.
Excellent. |

Maroonedby sherComment: I saw one in color that is a little bit better, but unfortunately pbase is down at the moment. Also means I can't admire your portrait. ;)
(Might be mistaken identity, but I doubt it) |

Angry Princess - AKA - The Right Angled Arms (pun intended)by tariqueComment: Excellent Photo. Interesting and appealing setup; The goodies on the skin create a Persian/Indian kind of mood, the light accentuates the body sculpture and indicates I am looking at a female. The fantasy does the rest: Nubian princess kills the bad Kalif, frees her lover and together they rule the empire from their palace in a oase setting. :)
My favourite for this challenge. |

Speedby GillespyComment: On this scale it is low. I want to see the revs in the red zone and the middle needle thumping up and down the right bottom. :)
