northern twilight by ursulaComment: Nice landscape. I especially like the crack patterns in the ice and the effect of the light and reflections on that. The shadows lack some detail and the horizon isn't straight (or its a lens distortion). I'd focus on the reflections and ice patterns. 8 |

Winter Wonderlandby joshuamliComment: Good action capture. Is the left one tearing up a real animal (not that I mind)? Pretty wild stuff. :)
Good job on the exposure given the snowy white conditions. Great colors, good use of shallow dof. 8 |

Chairman of the Board by crabappl3Comment: Somehow this bird looks like it is pissed off about something. :)
Good focus on the eye, good use of aperture/ shallow dof, like the toning balance and composition. 8 |

Blossom of a Christmas Cactusby WesComment: Nice soft flower pic. In my opionion the color could use a little boost, on the other hand it is pretty calm this way. 8 |

Portrait Studyby jonpinkComment: Your choice of lighting makes the face pop out really well. Nice pose and good composition, color seems to be good. The foto does seem a bit soft, but that could be intentional with a portrait.
Perhaps you could use some dim lights from the left to add a more interesting reflection in the eyes, but that's being nitpicky.
I like it. 8 |

Illusionby Spanish_GreaseComment: Good idea. Nice lighting (spot from behind the background?) and blue toning. 8 |

Helping Handby timj351Comment: Good photo. It does a good job at communicating the helping hand message. I might have chosen to crop the top just a little bit lower, but other than that it is a very good photo. I also like the B&W toning of this and the chosen aperture helps to clear out the background and focusses all the attention on the foreground. 8 |

Night Prowlerby jmsetzlerComment: Good focus on the eye. I like this image a lot, good colours, nice composition, good contrast (except for that little highlight blowout in the middleleft). I have my doubts about the border, but that doesn't really matter. 9 |

Clear Visionby dg02Comment: Nice subject and good composition. I like it how you filled the frame, zoomed in on the subject. The purple/pink light gives it that little bit of extra.
I do wonder if it would benefit from a slightly stronger unsharp mask.
Good photo. 9 |

Samuelby JackoComment: If I were this kid I would be so incredibly happy with this photo when I was a bit older. An excellent portrait, great pose, good lighting, good contrast, good b&w toning, nice background, good use of space, good angle. In my opinion the best photo of this challenge.
