Rock Starby magnetic9999Comment: The big square reflection in the glasses is distracting and the pose looks unnatural mild given the clothes and body jewelery she is wearing. You'd expect some rock action.
The composition (apart from the pose) is pretty good and the exposure, B&W toning and lighting is very good. |

The real reason for Christmasby rcrawfordComment: I like your background, lighting balance and crop, but the pic lacks a real wow-factor. A bit of light from the lower right would have helped a lot to get rid of the shadows. |

December Skyby npageComment: I like the sky, but the scene seems to lack a real point of interest. I think that a tighter crop on the trees in the middle would be better, especially the space at the left doesn't add anything. Yes, I would make a square crop around the trees in the middle.

A whole life aheadby Harz_JoergComment: Excellent composition & filling of the frame. The wide aperature / shallow dof lets one focus directly on the eye. Nice colors. The only thing I don't like is the dull border and the refllection in the eye is rather busy. 8 |

Star Lightsby BeagleboyComment: What does it for me is the green light ot the light house. If it wasn't for that I would rate the scene a bit dull. The color and color gradation is excellent and so is the foreground profiling. Good composition and thanks for waiting for the right time to take the photo. 8 |

Winter Cardinalby rmahanComment: The tonal balance is great an so is the color. It is just that the face is a bit soft (motion?) and the tail a bit oversharpened (diagonal jaggies).
The choice of a wide aperture helps to blur out the busy background and the exposure is just excellent. 8 |
