poiseby ramiComment: I love this photo. Strictly speaking, this is an out-of-focus, rather than soft focus photo, but I love it nonetheless. |

Dancingby JacbowronComment: Potentially could be a very interesting photo, but the position of the feet is not suggesting a beautiful dance, just some kind of an awkward step... |

Aliceby m4reaComment: very nice soft focus indeed. And the lighting. And the pose. And the beautiful child. The only thing I might want to change is the tone, this sepia look is more suited to shooting old people, INHO :) |

LG 31by cwt26Comment: I like this series - posing and lighting, exposure. The only problem I see with a few of these portraits including this one is that the focus is on the front shoulder rahter then on the eyes of the model where it should be... Perhaps you did it on purpose, but why?
[I could understand if the whole portrait was soft, but it is not the case here] Message edited by author 2006-08-21 20:46:18. |

Bottoms Upby CalliopeKelComment: Excellent work! One thing I'd chage is to blacken or crop the upper left corner. It's not clear what it is, and (probably because of that :)) is mildly distracting from ...uhm, the centerpiece. Seriously, great work, Kelly. Bringing Man Ray to mind, for one. |

Underexposedby LevTComment: Thanks for comments guys! While it indeed was somewhat underexposed at the time of shooting, I could easily bring the shot out from RAW but I liked this "glow in the dark" (pardon the cliche) look much more. I have dozens of perfectly exposed shots of Liz which probably are not much different from what other workshop participants have. Here is for something different :) |
