Hard to tell without seeing the original of course, but I can't imagine you (with your imagination!) could not think of some way to provide light from the right from outside the frame. I usually try to stay far away from a potential DQ territory, even at the expense of the final result, but you seem to like the thrill :).

this was my highest score (9) along with the DQ-ed Dark Knight. Excellent, natural shot evoking the spirit of movies from the golden era of 50's and 60's. JJ is right, the only thing which I would change is to re-crop it. There are very few movies shot in portrait format :)
