thank you, Tim... no idea, frankly. I suspect these "perfect moments" happen all the time, we just mostly fail to notice them. And in full disclosure, when I took the shot, I was only reacting on the general composition and the emotions in the dog's face... I only saw the "drinks" afterwards, in the photo :)

looked at your photo again and read the comments. Of course you did fool me! I probably would've have suspected something fishy if I looked really closely, but I did not expect such slyness from you! :) It is quirky, no doubt about that! And I loved the idea of a variation on the theme - there are two variations here, actually, the second being a variation on the first variation :). I guess my immediate reaction was muted because it did not look like a candid capture of girl(s) posing for somebody else - but rather as a photo of girls posing for you. This made the image a bit too cerebral and schematic to my taste, I always like to see the element of spontaneity in a photo. And besides, I just have seen way too many photos of people posing in front of various pieces of arts, or mimicking them for the camera just for laughs.
