Access Deniedby SunshyneComment: Denied for some time too it looks like. ;^) Rusty chain, weeds grown up, etc... Did you use a spot filter or is your blur a post-processing addition? Not that it matters, just curious. Overall I like the feel of this image - it's interesting for a fence/gate. Only minor negative is the top rail and right post might be a little blownout. Good luck in the challenge. |

Bath Timeby TerramarComment: Oh, that's so sad! Here the kid is crying and obviously distressed, yet you've found time to set up and take a photo?! I'd comment on the quality of the image, lighting, exposure, etc...but can't speak objectively as I find the image too unsettling. I guess if you're looking for an emotive response from viewers, you've garnered one here. :( |

I'm watching youby NuzzerComment: Lovely cat, and so much potential with this shot...if only it was in focus. :( If those eyes and the nose were tack sharp this would be rocking! Poster potential. Best of luck in the challenge to you. |

The Lookoutby RistyzComment: This is nice. I like the background with the nice moody skies. The texture in the foreground with the dried out dirt is interesting. The dog is positioned well for this composition and appears to be in focus. What I do find distracting is the image seems flat and in need of more contrast (could be this monitor) and while the B/W theme is good, the range is short (not a true black or true white). Overall, job well done. Good luck in the challenge.
Ok. I took another peek using my home PC, which is properly calibrated...the range in this image looks MUCH better here. ;^) I wonder if I can get my boss to spring for a new monitor at work? Hmmm...she might wonder why, then what do I say? He-he. |

turnstileby cheleComment: Nice comtemporary feel to this and a good eye to pick this shot out of a mundane (for most casual observers) setting. How did this look in B/W? It's almost there already with the subject material... Good luck in the challenge. |

Rocky Mountian Goatby trailwalkerComment: Great catch! Yep, ROT is fine. Subject is interesting. The background is amazing. Only minor drawback for me is the goat seems a little blurred, not quite tack sharp (focused) - some movement perhaps? Overall, nicely done. Best of luck to you in the challenge. |

My summer holidays in Italyby Rino63Comment: Some voters are going to have a difficult time with finding the ROT's usage in this image as the horizon (buildings) appears near center. I know it's not, but it feels that way. Another thing that may hold this back is the image lacks a clear subject IMO. Good use of a polarizer to add some depth/drama to an otherwise featureless sky. Good luck in the challenge. |
