Fishby hannekeComment: Well, the effort paid off. ;^) Again, simple subject (clever to think of) and fun results. I could see this selling quite well as a stock photo. For a twist, how about adding an empty fish bowl to the left? I don't know...just fooling around a bit.
Smile and keep having fun! ;^) |

flowerpower.jpgby MAKComment: I like your choice of subject to attempt this (dodge/burn). The wilted flower petals lends itself well to the overall feel (gloomy) of the image.
Dodge & Burn isn't one of my better areas in PP either. One reason, is I don't like the grainy appearance I get. It looks like it's caused some graininess in your flower image here also.
Good luck. I'm jealous...wish I had some extra time to practice this technique as well. ;^)
Edit - just noticed that your edges look funny next to the border, like there was a 1 pixel white edge that got caught up in the burning? Message edited by author 2005-10-06 09:51:59. |

Baseballby hstegComment: This is a GREAT photo of a baseball...but what does it have to do with a coffee shop? Did it fly thru the window while you were there? ;^) Just curious...I'm sure you must have some connection, but really, I don't get it. Good luck in the challenge. |

Happy to be Aliveby loriprophotoComment: He certainly looks full of himself - for sure! ;^) We have two horses (Arabian and Tennessee Walker) and it's fun to watch them run and charge around when the wind blows just the right way.
Nice job of capturing the motion and the movement of his mane. Well done. Take care! |

Desert Lifeby LeighroyComment: Great exposure and lighting on this well composed image! Like the use tilting the image - works well with the natural diagonal lines formed by the clouds in the sky. I just know there's a lizard in there somewhere! ;^)

roof top actionby clictacameraComment: I think this was composed just right...wouldn't have changed a thing. Well, on second look maybe crop a bit more off the top & right to move the bird into a rule of thirds grid location more. Really like the use of diagonal lines here. Great idea and overall well done!

Moo!by dahkotaComment: Bummer. Thought for sure you were a top ten with this one. It's funny though, I keep running into your images and saying to myself - "I like this"! Guess there's a reason I added you to my favorites a while back! ;^)

Originally posted by glad2badad: This is great! I love your take on the challenge theme. I don't know if you rotated on purpose to lose something in the image upper left, or if you did it intentionally to add a unique feel to the photo. Either way it works. B/W is the best choice here as the green in the background trees would have been distracting. Very nice. Good luck in the challenge. |

Unbound by SkipComment: Hey-hey! Well, let me be the 20th person (yes I counted) to congratulate you on your ribbon! Way to go and all that. It was only a matter of time. Speaking of time, 5:00 in the morning and I'm late to your party! ;^) |

music & flowersby RiponladyComment: This is a nice composition. The soft natural lighting works well. Is this some sort of shop or store? If not, a runner in the window could have helped a bit to cover the cord coming up thru the wood on the left. Looks like an interesting neighborhood. ;^)
