controlled chaosby ursulaComment: What the ??? Looks like a childs handiwork, on a wall, with some motion blur. Very abstract in nature. Seems more like a graphic than a photograph. Hmmm. Good luck in the challenge. |

Woody's Houseby trina101Comment: 11th place is pretty darn good, but DANG, thought for sure there was a ribbon waiting to hung on this one.
Certainly a shot to be proud of. Well done! |

Proud Papaby SJCarterComment: Thought for sure you were going to use the Red Hat ducks you mentioned. :D Fooled me! Thought maybe Andrew submitted this one.
Side note. Shutter speed 1/4000? Then I noticed the ISO of 800...no wonder. Skip had you twisting around all those settings didn't he? :P |

Dirt roadby pitsamanComment: Gorgeous color, and nice leading lines. What's around the bend? Interested viewers want to know! :D The overcast skies worked in your favor here as it really makes those colors POP.
Smile and keep having fun! :P |

Refreshingby AtlantisComment: Never mind the question; How does this answer the question, "What does morning mean to you." ???
After looking at many of the challenge entries it seems that my take on the challenge is at odds with the majority. :D
This would have been a nice entry for the HC II challenge. I like your choice of composition. It gives a nice feel for action and motion. Good luck in the challenge. |

Window to Morningby NikonJebComment: Looks like an interesting old building. As for the image I'm not seeing anything really stand out as the subject. I guess the branches actually coming thru the window have the biggest impact. I find the blownout background a bit distracting. A shallower DOF could have blurred that more and taken that element/distraction away from the viewer. All JMO of course. Good luck in the challenge. |

Every Sunday Morningby ltaylorComment: That's a lovely view for the church and it's visitors. Too bad you didn't get in place for this photo about 5 minutes sooner and captured it before the sun broke the horizon. I like the similarity of the rocks and the scattering clouds - kind of a mirrored pattern in a way. Good luck in the challenge. |

Warm October Sun on The New Amsterdamby hotpastaComment: ...and it took you a YEAR to share this with us?! You must be as behind in post-processing as I am. :D
Many times I've looked up in NYC (trying not to look like a tourist) and have seen some tall buildings. You've captured that feeling of being small and towered over, and caught it at an exquisite time of day with that lighting! Impressive. |

The mufler's connected to the fan belt...uh oh!by nixterComment: I like this. Alot. Only thing that could have made it stronger is the choice of shirt selection. Well, maybe the shirt's ok after all. I was thinking something you might see a mechanic wearing; more neutral, but this says amateur (car repair, not photog) so it fits. A little dirt and grime on the arms would add to the authenticity of the setup.
The technicals are all right on the money from my viewpoint. Wonderful composition, perfect lighting, sharp, interesting to look at. Hmmm. Dare I say you should have entered this? :D |

Dadby SJCarterComment: Yep. I see the similarities. I also see what is becoming a signature PP look. :D Those leaves in the grass create an interesting background, almost like natures wallpaper. Hope you put this one in a frame.
Smile and keep having fun! |
