An eye on the Keeperby ckempfComment: Sorry, don't see the connection to the challenge. ??? In regards to the image - it's a very nice capture of this hawk. Love the bokeh in the background. A little hot on the head but nothing super detrimental to the impact of the photo. Good luck in the challenge. |

In Her Own Worldby librodoComment: Very nice. Great detail in her face. Focus, exposure, DOF, all right on the money! Congratulations in advance on your ribbon. ;^) |

...and someday, when you're bigger, we'll...by SammieComment: This is a wonderful capture. Makes me want to leave work early and go hug my little guy. ;^) You've done a great job in the composition, the exposure for lighting is right on the mark and you have a nice tonal range with the black & greys. Good luck in the challenge! |

Beautiful Poserby Apollo2077Comment: Sorry, don't see the connection to the challenge. ??? Looking past the challenge connection - the image is a little snapshotish. What I mean by that is the composition is too centered and the white on the swans back is blown out (lost detail). A small boost in contrast would help this image pop a little. Pulling down the highlights, and adjusting the black/white points would also be interesting to see applied here. Good luck in the challenge. |

Candid Encounterby Dim7Comment: Sorry, don't see the connection to the challenge. ??? As for the photo, it's exciting to have an opportunity to get this kind of image. Looks like your camera was having a hard time getting focus past the branches as the branches are detailed but the owl is a little OOF. Key is getting the face and eyes sharp. Subject is also a bit centered. Good luck. |

A Weathered Sea Captainby susanhComment: Very nice. Well composed. Good choice of lens/aperture for good portrait DOF. Looks like the captain still has some lunch in his beard/mustache. ;^) Good luck in the challenge. |
