He's back! This dude gets around. :D I like the concept, it's clever. The image itself is underexposed substantially. Use your custom white balance to get your whites white, curves and levels are also tools to help get your whites & blacks in line. Good luck in the challenge.

How can you tell who's who? King, Queen, etc... :D The subject seems too distant. Did you try cropping this down (or capturing initially) where you zoomed in on the board more, even losing some of the board and maybe a piece or two? I don't know, just a thought. Something seems out of balance. JMO of course. Good luck in the challenge.

Somebody has TOO much time on their hands. :D Cute! I think I would have lost the white thing in the back right, it's distracting and unidentifiable (at least to me). A white backdrop would have been stronger - or - if you wanted to continue the festive mood, try something like crinkled tinfoil or something? Just a thought. Best of luck to you in the challenge.

Kid's toy? Hard to tell what it is, which is kind of cool...makes you look harder. :D It's "ok" overall. The lighting isn't quite right, it's too dark and the bottom edge, like you had a flash on and it was partially blocked or something? Anyway, good luck in the challenge.

Creative concept. This may have been a little stronger with a white base instead of the table top, and diffuse the lighting a little (it's a bit harsh). Keep at it... Good luck in the challenge.

Fire Power

Clever use of some wax and wick. :D Not sure, something seems a little off. The bg being grey makes the image feel like it needs some contrast or levels adjustment. The way the line (white on edge) on the battery lines up makes it look like a post-processing blunder (it probably wasn't, just looks like it). The "copper top" pattern gives the impression of the photo being noisy. I know, many nitpiks - sorry, just trying to toss out some feedback on initial reaction to this photo. It's a neat concept. Hope it does well for you - good luck.

Oh, isn't this fun? All of the elaborate setups we go thru just to get a photo. He-he. This one works pretty well. Nice fade from front to back. Subjects are well positioned overall. Might have wanted to adjust the color temp a little to knock down some of the blue cast. Best of luck to you in the challenge.
