Wet Noseby admart01Comment: I like this image overall. I don't mind pet portraits, I've done a couple myself. ;^) The thing that is going to pull this shot down is the focal point. Even your title eludes to it - the focal point is on the nose when the eyes are what should be tack sharp. Additionally, the nose isn't on an intersecting ROT point. The eyes are. This is one case of the title working against you maybe? I like the bokeh you've got working in the background. The DOF is very good, as is the lighting in general. Best of luck to you in the challenge. |

Strungby MrXpressComment: Nice subject, well postioned in the composition. Good lighting overall (a tad bit harsh on the guitar neck), and the image is well focused. The diagonal lines of the bench and back wall add additional interest. Good luck in the challenge. |

Eraser Anyone...?by richabhatiaComment: Clever idea. This image feels 3D-ish. Kind of wish the tip of the erase was also in focus, but it's still a fun photo. Best of luck to you in the challenge. |

Plowing the Fallow Groundby Buckeye_FanComment: This looks like a calendar shot. Very well seen and captured! Nice DOF, followed the ROT's just fine, and very good clarity and focus here. Fair shot at the front page with this one! ;^) Smile and keep having fun. |

Daybreak Fishingby davidus428Comment: Wow! Did I say Wow?! ;^) Fantastic sky makes this a no-brainer entry. He-he. I would have been estatic to see this develop. Oh yeah...the rest of the image. The boats are well positioned in your composition to meet the ROT theme of the challenge. I'm seeing some ghosting around the people in both boats, especially the back one. Overall, well done! |

Lightby macrothingComment: This is interesting, maybe even a bit overpowering. I think bokeh is so cool, and you've got it going on all OVER the place here. ;^) The subject that is ROT based may be lost because of this. Nonetheless, overall I like this very much. Best of luck to you in the challenge. |

Dreaming of Fallby esdarbyComment: Lovely. My top pick for this challenge. You did fine following the ROT's and I really like the color tone you've used here, as well as your subject choice, DOF, and even your title. ;^) Good luck in the challenge. |

Flightby LERtasticComment: What a nutso kid, doing that without ANY protective gear whatsoever!!! As for the image, it's fine - not sure about the square crop. The lighting is a bit harsh and it's put his face in the shadows a little bit. Very good shutter speed selection to freeze the action. Good luck in the challenge. |
