 This was an idea that I got on a photo-tour I went on in company of three other photographers of AHÓA photo-group in January 2007. On our way back home it was snowing heavily, I decided to stop and do this experiment. I had one standing there modeling for me (thanks to andrim) and let him walk to the place from the other side so there wouldn't be footprints in the snow between him and the camera. Another one held and fired a flash infront of the model (thanks to olihar) and the third was cheering us in the heavy snowing (thanks to heida).

I used a tripod and a rain cover.

We had the most fun experimenting there, we fired the flash several times and the farmer on the next farm came driving to us because he thought something was wrong, aliens were visiting or something... no wonder.. many thanks to the farmer for caring :-P

Hi, many thanks for all of your comments.
...maybe I should have used this image for the last free study challenge :-) but I chose another one, I couldn't make up my mind for this one.

I explained how I did this in the comment below the image ;-)
There were four of us there, one fired the flash infront of the model for me.

I like it. Only thing I would change is to desat the red. The red glow in the upper left is distracting.
