Clever. Certainly unique! I'll be interested in seeing how this shot does for you, AND I look forward to reading the comments. :P

Vanishing Point can be factored two ways here IMO, the vanishing point of the pencil as it lays broken and worn out on the drawing surface, and of course the converging parallel lines. I think in the second case the point could have been illustrated better with the converging lines going a bit closer to the edge of the composition. The DOF helps to diminish or blur the end point, but not quite enough.

Good luck in the challenge.

The question I have is how in the world did you get in position to take this shot?! I love the perspective and unique context of this photo for this challenge. Well done!

I can't wait to see the comments you've rec'd on this one. :) Very creative vanishing point illusion created here. Great eye to see and capture it, thick skin and courage to enter it. It's a little OOB for me personally but I like the direction you've taken and this photo has found it's way near the top of my voting results for this challenge. I voted several days ago, so sorry - you won't see a jump after this comment. :D

Best of luck to you in the challenge.

Not quite where I thought you'd end up as this was one of my top picks for the challenge. I really hope you can do something with this photo (without the text of course). I imagine this really would sell well as a stock photo (high or low end).

Great capture! :)

Well, the commenters liked it, myself included. :)

This was on of three images I gave a 10 to in the challenge. Thought for sure you'd be in the Top 10 with this. Certainly was a tough challenge as the photo AND the text had to be appealing.

Nothing else for me to add to my comments made earlier. Great shot Alain!

I'm a sucker for beach fence photos. :) Personally, I like this. The fence is probably more technically considered a leading line, but eh, I'm not sweating it. Did you fret about the lamp post at the end? Oops! Almost wondered whether you considered cloning it out, but this challenge is running under basic rules...nevermind. :P Actually, the lamp post, for me, works as a stop point. Helps keep me within the image. The sepia tone works well for the mood and emotive feel of a lonely beach on a cloudy day.

Best of luck to you in the challenge.

I know this is somewhat of a cliche vanishing point image, but you took it to another level with the repeating sky/cloud patterns. Wonderfully seen and captured! Cute title too. :) Good luck in the challenge.

What vibrant color! A very unique take on the challenge that I find quite interesting. Lighting may be a tad hot on the left flower petal, but still a very nice photo. Well done! Good luck in the challenge.

I like this for the theme and composition. Does seem a little underexposed. Good luck in the challenge.
