Boys Will Be Boysby idnicComment: Very nice capture. The PP is taking away from this for me personally...looks a bit too cartoonish and plasticy. Best of luck to you in the challenge. |

Fragileby silverscreenComment: Seems like there was just the slightest amount of camera shake, tripod vibration, or something. The butterfly is just a little blurry. Perhaps just a smidgen more DOF would have helped (stop down the aperture some). Lovely bg bokeh! Just observations, and obviously JMO. :D Good luck in the challenge. |

Bay Bridgeby PhilipDyerComment: I find the foreground interesting and distracting at the same time. BTW - I see you! (shadow of a person and railing in the near foreground water) :P
In the long run I think there is too much competion for the viewers attention in this photo overall. JMO of course. Good luck! |

Strandedby I Enjoy HamComment: Can't be stranded with all of those boats and houses around. :P Very nice image that's well captured on all technical points. Like the processing also. Good luck in the challenge. |

and so she waits.by nostalgicComment: Originally posted by nostalgic: |

I like the added room to her right and removing a bit of the foreground as you've done. Her shirt and skin tones seem a bit brighter which is good. And the last obvious piece of plugging in a dramatic sky and bg hills changes the feel of the image completely.
I actually like the original challenge entry better for the context of her waiting for someone to return. The bleak sky works better in that context.
Losing the odd border is also a plus. |
