Very cooperative subject aren't they? :) Couple of things holding this back (beside subject matter); composition is too centered, nothing unique about the arrangement (looks like a snapshot), could use a little more contrast, and the bg is very busy (read distracting). All JMO of course. :P Good luck in the challenge.

Such a colorful critter! :) The fuschia on the tail almost seems over saturated, but it may be an illusion caused by that part of the image falling out of the sharp focal plane. Very nice detail on the legs and flower head.

Yep, it's a match alright. Lighter too! :) Ho-hum. The side lighting (coming from the left) could be diffused just a little...bit too strong for the subject. Perhaps a little more sharpening on this in PP also would help? Good luck in the challenge.

Lovely location and a nicely composed image. Good POV to use the lines of the beach & water. I do wish for a deeper blue sky and whiter clouds, but that may just be my personal preference.
