Nature's Paletteby RayEthierComment: Wow! Some beautiful country in your area. This is a stunning photo. The color and the lines (leading road, horizontal hillside) work very well to create impact.
I'm hoping for some fall color myself as I'm planning an outing with a friend of mine (former DPCer 'nova') in the Shenandoah's a couple weeks from now.
Now, if I could only find some foggy hills, a weathered barn... :P |

Wolf Pup (in the wild)by basssman7Comment: Most people would be excited just to have experienced seeing a wolf pup in the wild, yet you not only were able to get a great photo of the event to treasure forever, you also interacted with this beautiful animal! Wow! That's very cool.
I really like the color and the glow you achieved in processing this shot. Nicely done. |

Day 26 - Anchoredby shalrathComment: From the thumbnails of the three photos you just posted, this one pulled me in.
This is a wonderful photo for B/W treatment. Some very nice lines and patterns going on here. You'd think it would be too busy, but they all work together quite well. Having the ship and retainer wall slightly OOF by the DOF is the key. Adds interest without distracting. Placement of the anchor in the composition is perfect. Draws you right in.
Nice work! :) |

Day 27by digitalpinsComment: It's almost like the graffiti on the wall acts like a frame for this "sticker". What could be a very busy image is actually quite easy to view. Interesting view that it is. :) |

not quite the beach typeby ordinaryangelComment: I like the depth in this. It's easy to follow the flow from the lady front left thru the curve of the shoreline to the distant beachgoers. |

beach comberby ordinaryangelComment: There's a sense of action & movement here that adds some mystery for the viewer. What is it she's bending over for? A seashell perhaps, or a colorful stone? Nice catch! :) |

The bright bg helps in isolating the man in this portrait. I like the catchlights in the eyes. I do catch just the slightest bit of motion blur it looks like? |

Ditto that. Looks like something ready made for halloween! :) The noise reduction application has created a neat moody feel. I like it! |

Made For The Shadeby QuigleyComment: It's nice to hear about people getting involved with their kids' activities. Kudos to you! :)
Nice job on building this - looks like it will last for quite some time.
As for the photo, well...honestly it's a bit static. Like a documentary type image. Nothing wrong with that in it's place. Have gotten used to more "artsy" type photos here that's all. :P |

Oh, the tree on the left? That does a very good job of anchoring this photo. Well seen and captured! |
