This is a building that we built at my oldest sons' school. Their school like so many others now a days has no shade trees and no where to escape the sun. So I'm builder and I was asked to help them with the construction of a shade structure. So we took a weekend and built this for the kids to stay out of the sun and have a place to read etc... We raised all the money for the materials and a bunch of us (my crew included) donated our time and I donated what materiasl that the school couldn't afford and there it stands. I still have to do the soffit and fascia but other then that the kids from all grades use it every day.
I also sit on the parents council and do all the buying for the breakfast and snack programes at the school.

Lovely story, and great effort on the construction of the building. Photo is a little bland, and I'd prefer to see a little more contrast in the tones.

It's nice to hear about people getting involved with their kids' activities. Kudos to you! :)

Nice job on building this - looks like it will last for quite some time.

As for the photo, well...honestly it's a bit static. Like a documentary type image. Nothing wrong with that in it's place. Have gotten used to more "artsy" type photos here that's all. :P

Well, that is a very nice building. You should be happy with this accomplishment. Tweaking the levels would make this pop. Other than that this is a very nice photo for the memory books. The kids should be very happy with it. I know I would if I still was a kid.
