This is a nice frame-filling yellow rose. Noise is a bit heavy, especially in the shadows.

Nice detail and color on the rose. I find the glass distracting. A small vase or some other method of standing the rose up may have had a cleaner appearance. Good choice of color for the background. Good luck in the challenge.

Cute. Kinda. Maybe a different color background would've added some spice to this? A polarizer could have taken care of the reflections and glare.

This is "ok". Not really jumping off the screen saying "Wow, look at that!". I mean, yes, technically it fits the challenge theme fine, but the subject is a bit bland. Did you consider putting a couple rows together, or maybe come in at a different angle. Cover the bottom of this image with your hand to eliminate the lower black area; look more intriquing? Just thinking out loud. Best of luck to you in the challenge.

Yep. There's yellow in there all right. :-) Interesting POV, although the subject isn't really that engaging/interesting IMO. Did you know you can submit photos for basic challenges up to 640px wide/tall? The long side on your entry is only 500. You lose impact that way... All JMO of course. Good luck in the challenge.

I'm not sure what to make of this one. Grain is something I don't mind at times and it works ok here. Kind of an abstract feel to this with the comp. I can't believe I'm still looking at this trying to decide if I like it or not...guess that's a good thing...making the viewer pause. For that, and the gonads to enter this, I'll score it slightly above avg. Good luck.
