Beauty at the Beachby sfaliceComment: Very well balanced scene here. Looks like the focal point was dead centered on the roll of the waves coming/going ashore, which works well. The gull in the upper reaches of this composition is just icing on the cake. Well done! |

Simplicityby keibo84Comment: Great shot, great title...perfect for the challenge. This is the kind of imagery that gets printed large for gallery display. Very nice. |

yesterday's newsby kolasiComment: I really like the simplicity of this. Perfect scene for this challenge. Just a hint of green in the moss embedded in the seams to confirm it's a color shot. Very nice. |

wintered waterfallby skewsmeComment: Simple, yet very effective subject for this challenge. Plenty of visual interest to hold the viewers attention. I can almost hear the sound of the water going over the lip. Well done! |

Contentmentby Len ScapComment: Oh, I hope this one does well. It's a stunning portrait. The fireplace background is a wonderful touch! Darn cats are so hard to handle...if only his/her ears were focused forward this would be perfect. Well done! |

SMILE by ZeppKashComment: Cute! Bet you've heard that a few times, eh? :-) The concept is quite clever and overall well executed. Something about the lighting...it's almost too controlled and gives a slightly flat appearance to this photo. Did you "dry" the dogs mouth and nose via post-processing? They seem unusually dull (non shiny) and dry. Last thing (sorry, feels like I'm pickin on you - don't mean too)...the dogs left eye (the viewers right) looks like the reflection was tamped down a little causing it to look fuzzy (non sharp).
I like this photo (really!). Is it possible to have something too perfect?
All of this is JMO of course, and regardless, I think you'll be scoring quite high with it. Best of luck to you in the challenge. |

freckle faceby margiemuComment: I really like the composition with the top of the head and ears just at the edge of the frame. If only this was a little bit sharper...the eyes are just a tad soft for a portrait IMO. Getting a blue cast also from the outdoor shaded light. A minor tweak with color temp would warm that up.
Overall, a well composed image. Good luck in the challenge. |

Tyraby unnevaComment: Tyra looks like a bundle of contained energy. Just waiting for the word! Nice portrait - lighting, backdrop, etc...all professionally done. Only nit is the "tear" streak under the eye...
Good luck in the challenge. |
