Naturally Organicby beelzComment: This is fun, if not cliche-ish. I take it your emphasis is on the refraction in the water droplet? While working on that I think the main part of the fruit became a little neglected in DOF. What gives me this impression is the "hairs" of the skin are well focused and show good detail, but the face of the fruit is just off a tad. Just some observations, and obviously just one person's opinion. :-) Good luck in the challenge. |

deliciousby lollipopComment: You have the right ingredients. The use of flash (looks like anyway) is really dampening any artistic possibilities here IMO. Lots of glare on the glass and the background is all greyed out and appears underexposed. Compositionally it's a little static with the centered positioning of the subject. All JMO of course. :-) Good luck in the challenge. |

Jalebeeby Funkie_docComment: Not sure what food this is. It's interesting...kinda "blobish". I think the textures are too melded to really pull this off as a macro/closeup. JMO of course. :-) Good luck. |

Covered through the Centuriesby cyclingtmbComment: ??? I'm guessing this was supposed to be in the 'Sepia' challenge? Bummer.
As a sepia photo, it's "ok". First I'd address the composition somewhat. This could stand a bit of cropping to show more detail. Top, bottom, and right could all come in (lose the far right bicyclist). The image is a little flat and should have the contrast boosted some. Looking closer at the bicyclist entering the bridge I see some artifacts...appear to be compression from downsizing perhaps? This photo also seems a tad soft which makes it almost feel slightly OOF. I'd give this some sharpening to make it pop.
I hope you consider posting this image to the forums for more feedback after the challenge. I think you'd get some good suggestions and it would be interesting to see this with a little rework.
Anyway...best of luck to you in the challenge. |

TUNAby KliopatraComment: This is fairly well shot. Something about that blob of yellowish (pickle?), and the wet/gooey tuna is a bit unappetizing. JMO of course. :-) Good luck in the challenge. |

Thai lunchby raishComment: Interesting idea. The multiple light sources are somewhat challenging. I think you could have come in a bit tighter to emphasize the food a little more with this composition (take a smidge off the top and bottom). Just a thought. :-) Good luck. |

Multi-vitaminsby RulerZigzagComment: It's "ok". I think keeping this in color would make for a more appealing image. B/W treatment is great for textures...a different POV to emphasize the shells may have been a consideration for the B/W treatment. JMO of course. :-) Good luck in the challenge. |

100% Pure Apple Juiceby Moose408Comment: Clever. Have seen some similar to this concept. You've done "ok" with this presentation. The lighting doesn't seem quite right. A little harsh. Did you try a polarizer to control the reflections some? Just a thought. All JMO of course. :-) Good luck in the challenge. |
