A few twists...by KelliComment: A little bit snapshottish, but interesting nonetheless. Can't help but wonder what other angles and viewpoints were available that could have isolated the "loops" and gotten the trees out of the frame. |

I, Springby oscarthepigComment: I had mixed feelings on scoring this. Very little detail is available and that usually indicates a strong use of noise reduction (most likely not in this case). I can tell you were using an extremely wide open aperture because just a smidge on the top rim is in focus. However, I DO like the effect this creates in the lower areas of the photo with the OOF rings of the spring. A very "artsy" type photo that is likely to have a polarizing vote result (either like it alot, or not like it much). I think I ended up in the "liking" it camp. :-) Good luck! |

leaf playing catchby photosmachen12Comment: That's a thin slice there! :-) Fun title and nice find for a subject piece. The blown highlights on the "ball" is going to cost you a tad probably. |

Wolf Creek Passby vtruanComment: Tunnel shots are cool and I've done a couple. I'm trying to figure how you did this without any motion blur. High shutter speed? Personally, I like the light trails and streaks that come with motion blur for shots like this, but this is ok too. Does seem like this needs a levels adjustment as the highlights are dirty gray/brownish. |

Resplendentby imaginggloryComment: Very nice way to illuminate the filaments of the lightbulb. It also helps that I really like blue/black combos. :-) Well done! |

Still Life DNAby DigiFotoBuddyComment: I figured we'd see a few like this in the challenge, or at least this approach. What I like about this is the NON-use of a plain white or black background. Would like to see both pieces in focus like the one on the right is (left seems to be a little farther back and the back of the curls are OOF). Best of luck to you in the challenge. |

The Vortexby vawendyComment: Slinky's are always good for this type of challenge. I like how you've positioned this, rather than taking the over-used tunnel type shot. Not sure how the purple color was introduced...makes it feel a bit noisy. Still, a very nice shot overall. Good luck. |

Perilous crossingby PaulComment: I like this. Looks like an interesting location. The theme of this works fine for me regarding the challenge it's entered in - although I imagine it's not on the mark for everyone. It's a little busy. Also a tad subdued on tonal range (short on highlights IMO). Still...worthy of a 7 for it's uniqueness and comp (I voted earlier and just commenting now). Good luck in the challenge. |
