Intorqueoby TOM32Comment: I like the lighting and color tones. Subject matter is "ok". |

Twisted Twist Tiesby BeefnCheezComment: First thought on this? What's the smear/nick/mark on the front center white area? Then I see sensor spots that could have been cleaned in post-processing. So, out the gate, I'm leaning on the downside. That sets me up for seeing the downfalls rather than the positives as I continue to take in your photo. Other observations that will help for your next entry are to use a lower ISO to control the noise, and diffuse the lighting to eliminate harsh glare.
The point I'm trying to make is that first impressions are important, and attention to details will improve the viewers first look and impact opinions.
All JMO of course. Good luck in the challenge! |

Hot Metalby LutchenkoComment: Great control of lighting and focus on this. A bit mundane subject-wise IMO. I think the fading paint actually takes away from this somewhat. |

Guardianby HipychikComment: This looks like a spot to come back to for sure. I love old fence posts such as this one. The OOF building in the bg is a perfect compliment. What kept this average vs outstanding for me is that the wires start fading on the off-center right of the post and all the way over to the remaining right. If you could have kept all wires sharp, at least on the post, this would present much stronger IMO. Best of luck to you in the challenge. |

It happens to us all :)by kwhj81979Comment: Yep, and it's not pretty at home either. :-) You've certainly met the challenge theme of twisted / curved lines, but quite honestly, the photo is underwhelming from a viewing standpoint. Also, why not use the full 640 pixels? You only used 500 on the long side. |

No curves, just bendsby bubudrtComment: It's "ok". Nice landscape scene...not great, or breathtaking, but pleasing nonetheless. You have left some sizing on the table (max is 640 pixels) when you only used 600, and your border is lopsided. Just some observations. Best of luck to you in the challenge. |

"How would you like your pasta?" - "Twisted."by Sabrina_WendlComment: Nice presentation overall. Good touch with the greens. Lighting in the bg is a little hot (lower left), the sheet is substantially wrinkled, and something about the fork seems bland (like it's not clean and sparkly). Not trying to be harsh, however, when you have time to setup a "studio" type shot, the details can make or break the final outcome. All JMO of course. Good luck. |

Light Ropeby robinssongComment: Ok. What's going on with all the rope light shots lately? Did I miss a special blowout sale on these somewhere? :-) This is fine overall, but seems (like many others with this material) that it's hard to get sharp patterns...end up with more blurred than not. JMO of course. Good luck! |

Book of spells (vol. II)by mitalapoComment: He-he. Pulling out all the stops on this one, eh? Nice bg bokeh circles of light and the cliche book pages... Darn it. I actually like it! Hmmmph. I'm glad I took a second look while coming around to comment. End result is a nice bump in score. Good luck in the challenge. |

Twisted Headby hojop25Comment: I'm finding the reflections to be quite intriquing. Did your arms get tired holding that light out there like that? And...do you always shoot without a shirt on? :-P |
