These are very interesting & unique flowers for sure. It's hard to visualize the size of them outside of your comments (guess that goes with most flower shots without a reference point of something for scale).

The harsh sunlight is taking away some of the potential impact here IMO as the details are getting washed out a bit. Nothing personal, just an observation. :-)

Interesting looking wood grain. The detail in the focal plane (look at the next to last "leg"!) is great. Were you using a tripod, or handheld? Hard to keep those moving subjects in the right place at times isn't it. :-)

I love how when I visit this image I find myself stopping at the tree, then quite naturally I want to wander on down the path (your curved leading line). Once I've wandered a bit I discover that I really want to hang out and spend more time at the tree - It's the only place I can find company in this journey.

Great job of putting this comp together and utilizing the elements.
