macro_8708.jpgby HeiSchComment: Hey this is cool! I really like how the OOF areas add to this photo, almost more impact than from the actual in-focus subject area. Fun idea. |

Beach - 7by JuliBocComment: These are very interesting & unique flowers for sure. It's hard to visualize the size of them outside of your comments (guess that goes with most flower shots without a reference point of something for scale).
The harsh sunlight is taking away some of the potential impact here IMO as the details are getting washed out a bit. Nothing personal, just an observation. :-) |

_DSC0378.jpgby sulamkComment: Wonderful detail. The dandelion head really jumps out at you. Very nice job on the conversion also.
Glad to see someone else likes to play with old vintage glass. :-) |

Dos Equisby Art RoflmaoComment: It appears by the score highlighted in red that I held you back from claiming a ribbon on this. I mucked it up by giving you an 8. Oh, wait - I think that means I liked it. :-D
Still do. |

Love is the flower...by sherComment: What?! This is an oldie but a goodie. :-) Wonderful capture and a fitting passage to go with it.
Sorry to tell you this, but you can't claim this as a non-faved image any more. :-D |

BumbleBeeby GregoryBComment: Interesting looking wood grain. The detail in the focal plane (look at the next to last "leg"!) is great. Were you using a tripod, or handheld? Hard to keep those moving subjects in the right place at times isn't it. :-) |

macro_8698.jpgby HeiSchComment: They look like Hershey Kisses! :-)
I wonder if you had made the closer one on the left the focal point if the back one would have been in focus also (with a deep enough aperture)? Just thinking out loud.
A very cool find! |

"Cut it out!"by tateComment: I love it when you run into a hidden "treasure"! This is a fun shot and certainly well executed. The reflection adds the final touch of brilliance. :-) |

Early Morning Mistby SaraRComment: I love how when I visit this image I find myself stopping at the tree, then quite naturally I want to wander on down the path (your curved leading line). Once I've wandered a bit I discover that I really want to hang out and spend more time at the tree - It's the only place I can find company in this journey.
Great job of putting this comp together and utilizing the elements. |
