#by RetroesqueComment: arrrgghHHH! No story? I thought for sure when I clicked on the thumbnail I'd read something fun about what's taking place here. :-)
Ok. Fine. I'll figure it out myself then.
Hmmmm. I know. You inadvertently ran across the new Spy Kids and they're trying to hide their identities while waiting for the next train to arrive (their spymobile is in the shop, and they left the rocket packs back in the lab, not knowing they'd need them this day). Remaining calm while the photographer takes their picture, confident that they'll remain unrecognized while in disguise. The big guy? Not sure about him. Could be dad, a talent agent, or some prior Spy Kid who just can't let go of the action.
(pssst! nice photo btw.) :-D |

Real versus manufacturedby MelethiaComment: This is a fun photo to take in. There are some story lines working here. Not only do you have the real vs window display, you also have young, happy, and possibly single (on phone with smile) vs young, new mom. Neither of which are paying any attention to the window display and appear to be influenced somewhat by your presence (you need a smaller camera). :-)
I also like the sense of movement and direction in the comp.
Nice catch! |

Butterfly Bathby basssman7Comment: Originally posted by Ristyz: curious as to why his back legs are hanging off the leaf? Is he dead and dried? Fabulous colors. |
:-) I wondered the same thing. Maybe it's for stability and done intentionally by the butterfly? |

Light Shines on the Fallenby trevytrevComment: Hey! This is nice. A well composed, emotive image that grabs your attention. The contrast overall is great and the yellow leaf really sets it off even more.
Nice work! |

Geese in the Mistby BlueSkiesComment: You did a nice job of capturing the mist rising from the water, and good detail in the geese. Many times a photographer will try to single out a bird or two - I kind of like how you've included the group. The geese at rest with their heads buried add to the feel of cold and stillness. Including the small section of snow bank does a nice job of adding context and scale (some may have been tempted to eliminate that from the composition.
Smile and keep having fun. :-) |

Webby shalrathComment: I like what you've done with a simple, ordinary subject. I've seen numerous dandelion shots over the years (taken a few myself), but I don't think I've seen one composed quite this way. The void in the center and lower left adds punch by gently directing the viewer to the areas in focus - the semi-circle of well focused seed heads. And the color...very unique and interesting.
Well seen and captured.
Wow! That's the most I've ever said about a dandelion shot! :-D
Take care. |
