I don't know why this looks so familiar. Could swear I've seen this somewhere else. Not saying that THIS photo was seen elsewhere, just the setup. I may have ran across it while researching still life myself. :-) Anyway...this shot is done quite nicely with very balanced lighting and good use of materials. Good luck in the challenge.

Certainly straight-forward and simple. Lighting is "ok". What's hurting this is the front apple not being sharply focused like the other.

Still Life with Fruit and Wine

Nice combination of items. This photo has a soft, dreamy look that I think is partly due to noise reduction? Everything seems TOO smooth IMO. The wine bottle, while cute, is really standing out as kind of out of place. Part of it is the blue doesn't work with the warm colors of the reds and yellow. All JMO of course. Good luck in the challenge.

WOW! This thing just jumps off the page! Not sure if I like the backdrop material yet or not...it's very busy. Lighting could be diffused a little IMO - seems a little harsh.
