Waiting for Excitementby grgkopanasComment: I like the tonal range overall in this B&W image. The isolation of the subject works well also, however I'm not sure that your technique is within the advanced editing ruleset? Good luck either way. |

The Sound Of The Villageby wei1108Comment: Interesting subject, nice choice of aperture for good DOF, also good self-constraint not to go overboard on post-processing this. Only minor nit is it seems just a tad underexposed (maybe a slight levels adjustment is in order?). All JMO of course. :-) Good luck. |

Death Canyonby AarthekComment: I like the opposing high points, one with snow, and one that seems hot and dry. The comp uses triangular components and angled lines well. What seems to be missing for me is a point of interest and some context (can't tell how large this foreground high point is). Anyway, all JMO. Good luck in the challenge. |

#2by GallatinComment: It's a nice photo of this locomotive overall. There's info competing with the subject a little (primarily the dumpster? in the back left). A square crop may have been stronger, or at least something a little tighter. I get the feeling you didn't want to leave anything out (the tracks, the steam, etc...) and I can understand that also. All JMO of course. :-) Good luck in the challenge. |

The Bridge of Sighsby kaiser_chiefComment: Nice tonal range (good choice to go B&W), interesting/pleasing composition overall, although this does have a slight feel of a "touristy" type photo. |

Carsby Luci11eComment: Something about her expression brings two things to mind, the first feeling I get is of a kid inside just bursting to get out and have some fun, the other...well, I'm probably better off keeping that one to myself. :-)
Certainly a thought provoking image! |

The South Korean Wicker Peopleby cowboy221977Comment: This is different. :-) I like the natural brown colors, but can't help wondering what this would look like in a B&W treatment. Personally I think it would be a much stronger presentation in B&W. Also, the line going thru the middle? I'm pretty sure that could be cloned out without any worries on breaking the rules for an advanced challenge. Just some thoughts. Good luck in the challenge. |

Wakulla Springsby Pattyd1230Comment: An interesting looking place for sure. As for the photo, I think you may have picked the wrong time of day for this as the lighting is a bit harsh and the washed out sky isn't contributing in a positive manner. I can understand your desire to show the reflections, but the image ends up nearly centered with this comp. I'd consider taking a smidge off the bottom. All JMO of course. Good luck in the challenge. |

Flowby NodWagComment: An interesting piece of artwork you've come across here. The "back" seems not as well defined as the "calf/feet" area...maybe some selective sharpening would help (or a deeper aperture)? |

Golden Archesby NeilComment: Nice sunburst. The arches are cool, but the visual beyond the arch is kinda ho-humish. JMO of course. Good luck. |
