I'll give you credit for obtaining what appears to be a "natural environment" eagle shot. Not so easy to get. Could be a little sharper and better detailed.

Ok. Little ho-humish subject wise. Background pattern is competing for viewer attention.

It's a fine portrait/studio shot. Given the tones and background choice, I wonder if this wouldn't go over better with the majority of voters in a strong high-key presentation? Just a thought.

Nice comp. I can understand the use of B&W based on the time of day and the overhead light coming thru. Works well to isolate the fore subject. Would be a little stronger if the wood frame was more in focus IMO. Good luck in the challenge.

I'd have never seen that moon if you hadn't mentioned it in your title! I like B&W photo's in general, however this one seems harsh because it's so "busy" with all of the branches, etc... It seems that this was probably taken in the late morning with a strong polarization in the upper left? I'd be interested in seeing the color version of this. :-) Good luck.

Emotive. Nice tonal range in the B&W. Interesting how the photo in the frame has become the primary subject with the angle you've selected.

Perhaps if the brownie showed a broken edge instead of the flat side? Sorry, but it's not too appetizing IMO. Also showing some strong blue tones (natural window light?).

A different POV may have helped with this challenging subject. The bare, overhead branches aren't doing anything positive for this composition.

It's funny, I'm not a big fan of over-the-top processing, and I'm not suggesting this needs to go there, however, I think this image would really benefit from some darkening of the corners to really bring the focal point home. As far as the photo goes, I like the overall framing/comp. It does seem like it's not quite as focused/sharp as it could be (perhaps a higher shutter speed would've helped - you were hand-holding the camera?) Then you wouldn't have had to sharpen quite as much (seems a little over-sharpened IMO).

Anyway, I've rambled on enough. All of the above is JMO of course. :-) Good luck in the challenge.

Nice color in the sky for sure; the remaining lower part is a bit ho-humish for me personally. Nonetheless, good luck in the challenge.
