I like that you've kept the whites, white. Not crazy about the sun spot blow out. A graduated filter could have helped. ??? Good luck in the challenge.

Good job of freezing the action. Looks like a tight crop? I mention this because of the substantial grain. Grain in the blues is hard to avoid sometimes, but there's a lot in the underside of the wings also.

Not sure what happened here...did you do some selective processing on her eyes? Ideally, with a subject like this (and title driven also) the eyes should be clear and sharp. I'm only guessing that it was some post work because her nose, mouth and eyebrows are detailed.

The makeup under the eyes is too strong...makes her look sad/tired, etc... It seems also that you've lost some detail in post (left side of her face is smooth and featureless).

Wonderful early morning light! I'm jealous. :-) Really need to take a trip back to the Shenandoah's soon (no snow in our area though). Very well balanced image. Good luck in the challenge.
