I figured we'd see a few like this in the challenge, or at least this approach. What I like about this is the NON-use of a plain white or black background. Would like to see both pieces in focus like the one on the right is (left seems to be a little farther back and the back of the curls are OOF). Best of luck to you in the challenge.

Slinky's are always good for this type of challenge. I like how you've positioned this, rather than taking the over-used tunnel type shot. Not sure how the purple color was introduced...makes it feel a bit noisy. Still, a very nice shot overall. Good luck.

I like this. Looks like an interesting location. The theme of this works fine for me regarding the challenge it's entered in - although I imagine it's not on the mark for everyone. It's a little busy. Also a tad subdued on tonal range (short on highlights IMO). Still...worthy of a 7 for it's uniqueness and comp (I voted earlier and just commenting now). Good luck in the challenge.

Coming back around to comment, and I think I scored this too low originall with a 7. Giving you a slight bump as I really like how you've brought out the details on this, yet I can still appreciate the velvet feel the rose petals must have. Well done!

Barbed wire without the barb. :-) I like the colortones. A wee bit of noise introduced in post (probably) that may get a ding or two from some voters. I tossed a 7 your way on this the first go around (just commenting now). Good luck in the challenge.

Hey, this is cool. Looks like a skull or side view of a brain. :-) Nice texture and great use of lighting to bring out the details. Same technique would work well for the Low Key challenge.

Balloon Rally

I like this overall as I think the balloon tops are interesting and your POV is unique. The one thing I'm not crazy about is the bg being a dirty yellow. Probably not a choice for you, but it is what it is, eh? Best of luck to you in the challenge.
