I'm delighted to read that this was a natural capture (I know pretty much most of your shots are - but didn't know who the photog was until after results). Frankly, I'm a bit jealous. Would LOVE to be able to find, let alone get close enough, to capture a decent owl photo. It's on my bucket list.

57th?! Dang. I thought it was a very fun, and well titled, photo. :-) Maybe with a square crop this would have done better? FWIW, I gave it an 8.

Actually, I don't really see much in the way of distortion. Where do you see it? If there's distortion, how could the trees in the background show vertical trunks (or nearly vertical anyway)?
