Lovely fellow. :-) Could have gone with a tad less negative space up top IMO. The main subject here is the "eyes" and hairy-ness of the spider ... that is lost a little bit with the small area of the photo dedicated to it (i.e. a tighter crop may be better here?). Also, the highlights are blown on the spiders back (that area is nearly the same size as the "subject" matter).

It's ok I guess, but quite frankly the photo is missing a strong subject IMO. Everything is soft and nothing of high interest is in solid focus. Sorry.

A fair amount of shadow recovery seems to be applied as her neck and check are very grainy/noisy in comparison to the other parts of the photo. I also wonder about the placement of her hand ... with the hard dark line meeting the hand in that area it really jumps out which emphasizes the awkward angle.

Standard issue when an entry doesn't meet the challenge IMO. That being said, I do like your work overall and have you marked as a 'favorite' photographer (from some time ago). I just didn't see a cute, cuddley bear as "Abandoned".
