The Hikerby justin_hewlettComment: In this image, I see the entire image as being important, and by picking the hiker out and saying this is "minimalism" doesn't seem right to me. "Create an image where your subject is the strong point of the image, but only occupying a very small portion of the image space." In my mind the "subject" should be the main subject in the image, not just "a subject" in the image. Although this is a fine image, to me, it falls short of the challenge outlines.

Cardinal in the Rainby bbower1956Comment: Nice shot of the Cardinal, however I think this image would have worked much better for this challenge had you used DOF or some other method to seperate your cardinal from the rest of the image, making the cardninal clearly the main focus of the shot. <5> |
