On my way !!!by ksnymanComment: This is great shot of a great expression. I think you have caught the moment and the challenge really well. I would perhaps have closer cropped on that wonderful expression on the ladies face… But, then again, I have never done well in a challenge… (9) |

Childhood Wishesby Edward MainComment: This is a great shot. Composition is first class – and mouth watering… Lighting works, and the candle is a nice touch… The only flaw – and it's tiny – relates to the reflected glare in the plate. Bounced flash might have gotten rid of that. Good luck (8) |

They All Went Homeby spidermanComment: Superb shot. Love the colour and the drama. I really like the composition; it has an emptiness about it, yet it's not sad. It looks like the sun is going down on a glorious day and you can almost see the faces of tired, happy kids after a fun filled day… The picture may have faults – but I can't see any (10)… |

When Wishes Came Trueby indigo997Comment: Great shot... My only suggestion here would have been to get closer in on that wonderful cake… Use of DOF is great, lighting is very good – too much would have killed the candle flames – and the idea is good. I think the overall picture smacks of fun. (8) I would have scored it ten if I had gotten more of that cake :) Good luck… |

Yank it!by liltoolComment: It's one of those pictures that makes ones eyes water… The shot itself is very well composed and my only gripe is the reflected flash in the door handle. Other than that – it works really well. (8) |

Just A Blurry Memoryby sylkComment: This is a really good idea. There are only really two things relating to picture that I can comment on. Firstly, the lighting on the doll seems a little harsh and perhaps the use of bounced flash would have cured this… The second one relates to the fact that there is actually a child in the picture. However, this is the memory of the doll and its wish for the child to return – if my interpretation is correct. So - I think - that it doesn't count because of the nature of the image. I wonder if everybody will see it that way :o) It's well thought and well executed and the reflected light under the dolls left eye does look a little like a tear – I wonder, was this intended :o) Overall, I think it's a great shot (8) |
