Contactby bh3xComment: Simply beautiful! Congratulations on this great capture. I wish you good luck, and a top 50 finish! (An improvement would be to have the climber look up - no need to smile, of course, muscle tension on the face would have been even better. Go back now and tell him to climb again, look up and say cheese:-) |

best friendby wickedpeteComment: Aah, background! If you could only have her sit half a meter to the back (or two feet, either one) - then you would not have had that unfortunate attention-grabbing transition from the grassy area to the gravel or whatever that is. Nice wide angle shot and nice perspective. Good luck to both of you in the challenge! |

by andriComment: Nice abstract. (At least to me at this moment it is an abstract as I am trying to figure out what am I looking at.) Very nicely composed and thumbs up for making me spend 2 minutes on this one trying to figure out what it is:-) I'll have to get back to this one! |

Jaapby PanoComment: I am thinking about the frame positioning and orientation... it is just off by a degree or two; it should have either be perfectly straight (together with the horizon) or noticeably off by at least 10 degrees. This way it looks sloppy.
Nice idea though. |

Perfect dayby hjolliComment: I'm not so sure what to think of the vans on the snow... obviously they are the main subject of this photo. I'll ignore your title, and read this image along the ecology lines, something like polluting the nature or similar. Do not get offended with this comment; this is exactly what this image provoked in me. And for that reason alone I took the time to comment on it and I will score it high because it caused some reaction within the viewer. That's what photography should be about and I commend your effort even if not intended as such:-)

New Year's eve - 2005by burtctComment: Last minute submission:-)
Again, very pretty and very carefully executed photo with no blown up details in the sky. Congratulations on that technical part. That detail seems to have escaped many others...
Suggestion: since there are no discernable details left in the rock in the bottom right corner, it could have been cropped out some more, perhaps leaving only half of what is shown right now. Maybe...
Good luck in the challenge. |

Fiery Crossby kmbr2001Comment: One of the nicer images very well done where there are no blown details in the sky and yet the image is of the sunset with sun high enough to be concerned. Not crazy about the cross as the main object, but the silhouette works well here. 7. |

Mountain Streamby divernickComment: It is a pity to waste one whole point (and that'll be the effect at the end of voting) just because of the small submission size. You've received (and you will receive) a few comments on the size, so I'll try to concentrate on the other elements. The sky is completely blown, to the point of me thinking that it was better left out of the photo altogether. As a result of overexposure of the sky, the motion of the water is very nicely presented here. For the future, I suggest either stopping the aperture down some, or using the ND filter with the same effect - stop down by 1/2 or more.
Good luck! |

Contemplationby AryellaComment: You might have received a comment or two about the border... it subtracts from this image (at least in this form when I view it as 640px). The top line looks like something floating on the water - it took me a moment to realize that it is actually above the kids' heads, not far away on the water. This is a good thing - I like photos that make you think and this one did just that.
Again, slight deduction for the offensive border. 7. |

Little Princeby mia67Comment: It seems that you could have picked just slightly smaller aperture for this one - the DOF seems too shallow as his left cheek & eye are softer than the right side. Lovely crop and nice composition. 7. |
