Original and refreshing... deserving of a bump.

Edit: another bump, to 9. Second best in the challenge, I hope that this would ribbon.

Great shot although borderline DNMC as the main subject isn't the lens cap, but the camera itself. However, marvelous capture of a flash, for all those that gave this photo less than 5, they should try to do the same thing and keep the amount of detail in it.

Congratulations on your ribbon! Superb use of lenscap in a photo that tells a story like no other in this challenge. I looked over all images in a second run, bumped this one to 10, and decided that nothing compares to it.

Since you've asked for comments:-)
This is a 5 shot for me. Technically good, lighting and exposure are on the spot. DOF is what you wanted, but the background is a bit too blurry - I would have preferred to have it more legible so that I can have some context. It's a diploma of some sorts, but what is its relevance to the scene?
Also, the cap is tilted - almost levitating. It is in a very unnatural position, and there is no trace of any motion (I would have preferred to see the prop or to have the traces of motion in the image, but that's just me.)

Moreover, the overall tone of the image is gray-ish. Lenscaps are not the most interesting nor the most colorful objects to take pictures of, so you could have used some livelier color to boost the photo's dynamics.

I hope this helps!

Too bad, otherwise nice photo. Might be slightly oversaturated, but not to the point of bothering me. 4.

Moreover, the photo is too small even if it was dead-on meeting the challenge. However, a nice photo of the burning sky.
