Hey there from the Critique Club

Camera Work/Technical: Nice focus and great depth of field use. The chosen WB give a great warmth to the photograph, and the waterfall looks crisp while also appealingly soft.

Lighting: Great time of day to catch beautiful color and great details in every area of the image. The water may be just a little overexposed, but not so much that it would cost the photograph much from the voters.

Composition/Content: Good rule of thirds use making for a very interesting photograph. The nearly still water works very well to dray the viewer's eye into the photograph and the vegetation works well to keep the eye interested.

My Opinion: You've already heard it, but there is no lens cap to be seen anywhere inside the frame. Rule number one around here is meet the challenge parameters. If not, as you see now, you will be eaten alive by the voters. You produced a nice photograph, but it was way off the challenge. I believe that it met its full scoring potential for this particular challenge.

It's obvious, the len cap didn't float, or went downstream.

This doesn't show the lens cap. It is a nice picture though.

Where's the lens cap? :(
05/23/2006 07:19:01 AM
where is the lens cap? nice picture, but no cap hurts the score

Nice picture, where is the lenscap?
05/23/2006 04:20:29 AM
great photo, don't see the lens cap anywhere?
05/23/2006 01:00:39 AM
Nice photo! This looks like a great place to sit and think! I like the vivid green. Now for the bad news. I can't find a Lens Cap. I've looked and looked, and it's not there. Since the challenge was to take a picture of your Lens Cap, I can't give you a great score. Better luck next challenge.
05/22/2006 08:30:56 PM
Nice pic, though a bit overexposed. You might have used too much yellow in color correction also. But where is the lens cap?
05/22/2006 04:47:35 PM
I HAVE tried, but can not find a lenscap in this :-(
05/22/2006 02:35:41 PM
Am I missing the lenscap?
05/21/2006 07:54:01 PM
Wonderful photograph, but I don't get the lenscap connection.
05/21/2006 06:42:36 PM
where is the lenscap
05/21/2006 06:41:38 PM
such a nice photo.. to bad abbout the DNMC factor here!
05/21/2006 10:53:47 AM
There is no lens cap here! DNMC. The same way I left my comment to the weird blue waterfall. The green is beiond the last saturation line. It can make your water so strange/unreal. The excessive saturation of green donĀ“t add nothing to this picture.
05/21/2006 12:57:01 AM
no lens cap
05/21/2006 12:34:43 AM
Very nice image, but not sure how it fits the "Lens Cap" theme for this challenge.
05/20/2006 09:39:04 PM
Very nice picture. Where is your lens cap?
05/20/2006 09:31:34 PM
This is a very nice photo, but I can't find the lens cap. Could it be you entered this in the wrong challenge. Good job regardless.
05/20/2006 09:13:23 PM
Landscape versus Lenscap?
05/20/2006 08:14:11 PM
Is there a lens cap in there somewhere? Can't find it.
05/20/2006 05:01:21 PM
Lovely picture but I am not sure what it has to do with the challenge
05/20/2006 05:52:32 AM
There's a lenscap in there, right? Good thing you took it off for this picture anyway...
05/20/2006 05:41:40 AM
liked the photo, but no lens cap
05/20/2006 04:33:33 AM
OK, I give, where's the lens cap? At he bottom of the pond?
05/19/2006 06:42:36 PM
where's the lenscap?
05/19/2006 03:23:33 PM
I don't see a lens cap.
It is a nice picture of foliage and a waterfall. Nice colors. I would consider cropping a little to eliminate the floaters in the bottom right. It would also make the waterfall bigger and maybe more dramatic. IMO
05/19/2006 01:59:41 PM
Did your cap fall in the drink?
05/19/2006 11:39:02 AM
DNMC
I give it a 4

Where is the lenscap?
05/18/2006 01:04:18 PM
I agree it's a superb landscape with nice colors ! but there is no lenscap !
05/18/2006 11:13:44 AM
This is a very pretty photo, but where's the lenscap? The challenge asks you to make it part of the main subject.
05/18/2006 10:56:40 AM
There is no lens cap in the photo and does not meet the challenge
05/18/2006 10:21:16 AM
Is the lenscap hanging in the tree? I looked good and long for it...lol
05/18/2006 03:31:11 AM

05/17/2006 10:33:03 PM

Where is lenscap? Nice photo but I don't see how lens cap is primary subject.
05/17/2006 06:41:55 PM
Where is the lens cap?
05/17/2006 06:05:03 PM
Not trying to be mean, just explaining the low vote: DNMC - no lens cap.
I think that perhaps the challenge was misinterpreted as 'Landscape'? Had the challenge been landscape, this would have been my comment: This is a very pretty spot, and the title fits the photo very well. The waterfall is a hair overexpose, but not so much that it is overwhelming. The greens are absolutely gorgeous.
05/17/2006 05:02:10 PM

Too bad, otherwise nice photo. Might be slightly oversaturated, but not to the point of bothering me. 4.
05/17/2006 04:16:28 PM
I'm sure there must be a lens cap there somewhere!!!
05/17/2006 03:40:05 PM
I cant find waldo? where is the lense cap???
05/17/2006 03:04:34 PM
Isn't there supposed to be a lens cap in this picture? It's a nice picture, but really, really doesn't meet challenge.
05/17/2006 02:50:39 PM
and the lens cap is where?
05/17/2006 02:14:54 PM
no lenscap
05/17/2006 02:07:16 PM

05/17/2006 12:26:02 PM

05/17/2006 12:09:54 PM
Ooooh, another "Where's Waldo"-type search for the lenscap :)
05/17/2006 11:33:19 AM
Nice picture
05/17/2006 10:19:44 AM
no connection with the challenge, unless i'm just missing it
05/17/2006 10:17:21 AM
Lenscap?
05/17/2006 08:57:21 AM
I'm sure you'll get 30 comments like this, but where the heck in the lenscap...? Is it like a where's waldo thing? Nice photo though, even if it's not there.
05/17/2006 08:39:16 AM
I don't see a lenscap
05/17/2006 06:21:56 AM
Uhm, I think one of us spelled the challenge title in a bad way. I can't find the lens cap here.
Still, you could have got even a 3 from me if it was an exceptionally good photo, but it's 2 now, because I'm a DNMC-nazi, sorry. In a 'Your corner of world' type challenge this would finish much higher.
05/17/2006 06:17:14 AM
hmmm, I think I'm missing the lens cap but this is a really beautiful photo, going into my favorites
05/17/2006 04:58:41 AM

05/17/2006 02:08:37 AM
It's probbaly just me but I can't see your lens cap which was supposed to be the main subject - sorry
05/17/2006 12:46:00 AM
