On the edge if this fits in as an abstract but that aside, I really like the shot. The overexposed look adds this softness. A very pretty way to capture this shell. Contrast looks perfect.(no vote)

This(and one other) photo stops me in my tracks and makes me think about what I'm viewing, more so than any other. I think it's in the layers of texture that do it for me. Perhaps not particularly abstract in shape but leaves a lot of room for different types of interpretation. The b/w here looks great. I don't mind those few hotspots here.

Crop looks great. You've striked a nice balance with the shadows here. Not too dark or too bright. Darkening them a bit more would've probably made this almost unrecognizable from what this actually is without any title attached. No extra points from me if you where to do that.

Rays of the Palm

I think I would've liked this more if the whole palm was in focus or had a different point of focus. Perhaps a cliche thought , it's either that are adding more contrast to deepen the blacks. An alternative to contrast/levels/curves. Select Color dialog, I use it a lot to deepen the blacks without touching the highlights to prevent blown highlights.
