A very nice looking b/w shot. Only nitpick is that the beans look too black, almost as if they're not there and it's one big black mass. I see some detail in the front beans, just would've liked to see a bit more. Some playing with Curves or Shadows/Higlights in Photoshop could've helped bring out more of the detail in the shadows. Not too much, just a bit so as not to make the image look too busy.

I think seeing a more browner crisper piece of bacon would've been more appealing, and perhaps the focus on the 2nd piece from the bottom could've worked better for the composition.

The colors , composition and lighting...A very nice still life capture. But I must say for this challenge I'm looking for something more than just an OOF background, it seems almost featureless. Perhaps if there was something OOF in the background I could relate to. In any case, this is a very pleasing shot to look at :)

With a 12-24mm? You brave brave person LOL. Most excellent shot of lightning I have seen a while. Job well done. The sound of this thing hitting so close must've been hair raising.

One of my favorites. You placed well in the sea of so many great entries. Though I would've liked it to have placed higher. I'm with everyone here where I say the little girl's pose and especially expression makes this shot speak so loudly. The rest of the shot looks good as well.

A very nice portait of this majestic cat but a little on the soft side. Perhaps the focus point wasn't optimal. The left side of the frame , the whiskers there seem to be sharper than anything else in the shot.
