good: give it to them! i think after the initial ruckus there may be silence. nice capture of sparks and smoke. pretty well balanced image. clear and pretty sharp.

bad: i'd have to say that the lighting isn't that good. with the exception of the flash everything seems a little dark. I think you could have boosted the exposre/brightness a little to show some detail in the radio dial and knife handle. the sparks are blown anyway, i don't thing boosting the brightness would hurt.

bad: i personally don't feel much here. the tones are bland, everything is blurry, the expression of the child is even without emotion. I would have deleted this from my camera. Many people say that they like constructive criticism, i hope you are one of them.

good: the idea meets the challenge well. (but i hear echos coming from somewhere)

bad: the composition to me with the horizontal backdrops within a vertically cropped image feels off. the blacks and whites aren't very distinct. and overall this is pretty boring. sorry for the bluntness.

good: i can completely agree that cold places with snow give me a sense of silence. i like square crops myself. the reflection also give way to the reflection you do (verb) in a moment of silence. black and white also works well with snow and ice.

bad: ok this is just too dang blurry to me.

good: i think this is good as concerning the challenge topic. there are some good black and white tones here also. i like the side view of the subject, the candid feel.

bad: the image is just too blurry. also the composition feels off.
